90.16 ° is a bit of sun in your day. The 90 ° series refers to the geometric abstracts that capture the memory of my two and a half decades practicing architecture, which had far too many ninety degree angles. They’re much more fun to paint. Lots of lines are still ingrained in my mind in a rhythmic, mathematical way. Regardless that I continually did battle with the constant onslaught of right angles during this period, yearning for the occasional piano curve or arc, the economics of the straight line in construction usually prevailed. That’s why these smooth grooves have an unyielding legacy in my mind.
